Mary Moylum, Arb. Mary has extensive experience in copyright and intellectual property issues in the cultural sector, linkages with First Nations organizations and individuals; practical experience in project management at the national and international levels. A former Canadian Immigration judge on the Immigration and Refugee Board, and a former Canadian International Development Agency Representative, Mary has a range of skills she offers her clients: arbitration, mediation, negotiation, legal interpretation, financial and project planning.

Frank Krzyzewski, Bmath, Technology Manager, and head of the Digital Culture Division, has over 25 years experience in building and managing software projects, websites, and computer based e-learning systems. Creator of the Native Drums and Native Dance projects, Frank’s educational background is in Math & Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. Frank roles include project conceptualization and creation, proposal and budget writing, project and operations management.

Education

Michelle Braun, Educational Content Developer Michelle has over 10 years experience in creating web related educational materials. As a former high school teacher, she brings relevant practical knowledge to the task of creating vetted educational materials for use by teachers and students in the classroom.

Language and Culture

Paul Nadjiwan, Cultural Authenticator & Translator (Ojibwe) Paul is a Ojibwe elder and former tribal chief from the Chippewas Nawash First Nation. A noted drum maker and keen supporter of traditional Ojibwe ways, Paul vetted and authenticated content in the Native Voices website series. Paul has since gone on to become band chief at Nawash First Nation.

Maud Revel, Translator (French) Maud is a graduate student of Carleton University, and has now translated over 200,000 words on Aboriginal and educational subject matter in the Native Voices website series.

Mark Seabrook, Visual Artist Mark is a native artist working in the Ottawa and Rapid Lake area. Mark contributed to the Native Voices website vision, and illustrated the Ojibwe creation story on the Native Drums website.

John Tenasco, Visual Artist John is a native artist from Kitigan Zibi First Nation and contributed to the visioning of the Native Drums website. John is now expanding his reputation beyond Canada, with several recent exhibitions in the U.S.A.

Andrew Tracy, Researcher/Writer Andrew was recruited from Queens' University graduate Film programme to research and write web content on the Native Voices series. Andrew has since become a freelance film reviewer and can be seen on the Bravo television channel. He is also working on his doctorate degree.

Technology

Usha Gogireddy, Interactivity Programmer Usha was hired straight out of Carleton University's engineering program.She is knowledgeable in object oriented design and was responsible for many of the interactivity features such as the games found in the Native Voices website series. Usha is now launched into a successful software engineering consulting career with a Fortune 100 company.

Julio Leiva, Database Specialist Julio was a former technology manager for a UN agency in Colombia. He has over 25 years experience in creating and maintaining databases and information systems in a variety of environments. He is highly knowledgeable in Linux, PHP, and Opensource software.

Edward Solodukhin, Graphic Designer Edward is experienced in an extensive list of current 2D and 3D software tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Sketchup, Maya, and is knowledgeable in producing web graphics for standards based websites. He is currently working on his Masters in Architecture at Carleton University.

David Anderson, Multimedia pre and post production David has hands on experience in all aspects of audio video production matters, and has produced many training and edutainment video projects. He has specialties in digital delivery of audio and video, has in-depth knowledge of analog and digital media production. David is also a composer who has scored soundtracks for video games and has several independent releases of original electronic music.
